How flying works here

National body: Confederação Brasileira de Voo Livre (CBVL) (opens in a new tab)

Visiting pilots

  • Every free-flight pilot must hold an ANAC sport-aviation registration (cadastro aerodesportista), certified through an accredited association, and carry it when flying.
  • Launch sites are run by clubs or public bodies, and many clubs require a CBVL rating before you can launch.

A short summary, not legal advice. Rules change, so check the current requirements with Confederação Brasileira de Voo Livre (CBVL) before you fly. Summary checked 13 Oct 2026.
