Flying elsewhere
Travelling? A short overview of other countries: where the sites are, how flying works for visitors and learners, and who to contact.
This is a prototype for community feedback. Everything here comes from public sources and is credited on each page. Tell us what's useful and what's missing.
Why the name?
Catavento is Portuguese for pinwheel: it means “catch the wind”. Like a pinwheel, everything here turns around one centre: the sites, clubs, schools and pilots of free flight.
